Studying psychology opens up a wide range of professional opportunities. Working as a psychologist is possible in many professional fields, depending on the specialisation. In order to facilitate orientation, a selection of professional fields will be presented at this event. Psychologists from each SFU branch will present their fields of work and provide an insight into their everyday work. There will be first-hand information as well as room for exchange and questions. Language of presentation will be English.

Centers for social work are public facilities that encapsule the whole general population in all the phases of life. The work on the centers for social work consist of orders by law, public authorisations and social protection services. The work in various complex fields of individuals and families facing the adversities or struggles in different aspects of their life, often requires multidisciplinary approach.
In today’s lecture I will present different areas of tasks and operation in the jurisdiction of centres for social work, with emphasis on the work of a psychologist.
