Studying psychology opens up a wide range of professional opportunities. Working as a psychologist is possible in many professional fields, depending on the specialisation. In order to facilitate orientation, a selection of professional fields will be presented at this event. Psychologists from each SFU branch will present their fields of work and provide an insight into their everyday work. There will be first-hand information as well as room for exchange and questions. Language of presentation will be English.

Women’s Health Center FEM

In training to become a Clinical and Health Psychologist, Alumna of SFU

During my master’s program in Clinical and Social Psychology at SFU Vienna, I had the opportunity to become acquainted with the Women’s Health Center FEM, where I currently work as a psychologist. FEM is part of the Institute for Women’s and Men’s Health. We are dedicated to providing easily accessible counseling and offer a wide selection of workshops and courses addressing various health topics. Additionally, we run different projects aimed at reaching socio-economically disadvantaged women, parents, and girls. At the Institute, we are committed to being both gender-sensitive and culturally sensitive.

In my daily work, I integrate various fields of health and clinical psychology. Working on different projects has allowed me to explore a broad range of topics and learn valuable lessons over the past years. One of my main focuses is on health promotion and health literacy for both youth and adults. I am involved in a health promotion project for teenagers, where I conduct courses and train trainers on health literacy, and I also lead workshops on a variety of health topics for women and girls. Additionally, I am pleased to offer support and counseling to women on a range of issues.
