On November 21-22, 2024, Dr. Erzsébet Fanni Tóth and Dr. Enikő Darabos from the Trauma Institute at Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU) attended the annual meeting of research institutes of the International Memory Studies Association in Nottingham, UK. The event, held at the National Justice Museum, was coordinated by scholars from Nottingham Trent University.
Key objectives of the meeting included:
- Discussing current challenges in the field of memory studies
- Building strong international research partnerships
- Exploring potential collaborative educational programs
- Reviewing funding opportunities in the UK
Participants engaged in forward-looking workshops focusing on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. The event also included a guided tour of Nottingham’s historic downtown, providing a rich cultural context for the academic discussions.
