Event service for internal and external congress inquiries, support for scientific events, consulting and internal room and resource coordination.

Vienna is one of the most sought-after and popular destinations for international conferences and congresses. The Sigmund Freud University (SFU) is therefore happy to make its premises available for training courses, symposia, congresses, conferences, meetings and other events outside of teaching. The event management team will be happy to support you with your planning and implementation, with a focus on sustainable approaches and implementation. The university reserves the right to give priority to events that are related to our faculties.

Opening hours

Freudplatz 1 & 3
Monday to Friday usually from 07:30 – 18:00.
Outside these opening hours, e.g. in the evenings or at weekends, our facility management team will be happy to assist you by appointment.

Services

The event management team at Sigmund Freud University strives to implement individual requests at the highest level of quality and reliability. Please contact us with your questions and concerns regarding space, equipment, technology, staff, exhibition services and external service providers, we will be happy to support and advise you.

Additional services:

  • for set-up and conversion work by the in-house technicians (e.g. conversion between sessions, partition wall; exhibitors)
  • Infopoint supervision outside opening hours; onsite event support
  • Additional cleaning, e.g. at weekends or in the evening, etc.

Media-IT-Support

Hybrid technology / live streaming / camera use on request.
IT support by our team of technicians is included in the room rental from 09:00 to 17:00.
The hourly rate for technicians outside of 09:00 to 17:00 is EUR 84.00 (excl. VAT) on working days. On weekends and public holidays a surcharge of 50% will be charged.

IT equipment on request and subject to availability.
Standing desk, mobile screens (including as a preview monitor), 360° cameras, various microphone types, projector in daylight quality.

Catering

We are happy to offer you soft catering, which consists of cold finger food such as sandwiches and / or various types of pastries. The Sigmund Freud Private University attaches great importance to sustainability and takes great care to ensure that external suppliers source products that are organic, regional, fair trade and seasonal. Furthermore, the university strives to make it easier and more palatable for its organizers, guests, students and employees to opt for plant-based and sustainable nutrition.
For events with more than 100 people, you have the option of organizing external catering according to your wishes. We will be happy to support you in your search for a suitable caterer and provide manipulation rooms with electricity for an additional charge.
If possible, the catering services of our in-house SFU cafeteria are available for an additional charge.

The following catering options are available from SFU for an additional charge:

Option 1: Drinks

Sparkling / still mineral water
Coffee / tea
Apple juice
Orange juice
Frizzante / wine – white / red

Option 2: Drinks + finger food

Drinks (see option 1)
Sandwiches of your choice (vegan, vegetarian)
Various cakes
Jour pastries
Danish pastries, croissant,
Salad glasses (hummus, fruit, couscous, Greek salad, mozzarella)

Dates and deadlines: Please submit your request to us with the following lead time:

Booking of catering with a lead time of:

Up to 50 people: 3 weeks
Up to 100 persons: 4 weeks
100 persons: 6 weeks, as external catering

Booking of premises* with a lead time of 6 months

**Large events from the morning or all day
Large events starting in the afternoon
Small events from morning or all day
Small events starting in the afternoon

*We ask you to submit requests with the exact number of participants, the specific times and the day of the event. Precise details make planning much easier for us.
** From 100 persons

Internal discussions and meetings:
Due to the current situation, we ask for your understanding that catering and drinks stations can no longer be offered for regular internal meetings and sessions in future.
