Open Access

The library of the Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna cooperates with several publishers within the framework of the Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ) and thus enables the free publication of articles in numerous open access journals or subscription journals with open access option.

Members of the Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna can publish their articles open access without additional costs (Article Processing Charges, APC) in journals from Springer, Sage (Humanities & Social Sciences package) and Taylor & Francis (Social Science & Humanities Library).

The SFU Library is also a member of the open access publisher Frontiers. Members of the SFU therefore have the opportunity to publish in all Frontiers journals at reduced publication fees (-10%).

Approval is granted by the library via a dashboard, but financial coverage must be confirmed in advance by the respective faculty. Further information can be found here.
