Studying psychology opens up a wide range of professional opportunities. Working as a psychologist is possible in many professional fields, depending on the specialisation. In order to facilitate orientation, a selection of professional fields will be presented at this event. Psychologists from each SFU branch will present their fields of work and provide an insight into their everyday work. There will be first-hand information as well as room for exchange and questions. Language of presentation will be English.
Sport Psychology
Alessia Federiconi, BSc, MSc | Psychologist, Milan

Alessia Federiconi will discuss sports psychologists’ roles in the field. Her specialty is mental training for athletes of all ages and genders; this participation includes group education and individual athlete mental training, regardless of on-field or off-field situation. She also promotes sports’ mental health benefits in charities.
This research entails actively participating in Ministry of Sport-funded programs – like “ElevateHer” to nudge the mental health benefits of athletics. She also collaborates with training institutes and businesses in education. Her main goal is to teach coaches and managers how to enhance their connections with players, improving performance and well-being. Sports psychologists at “WellNext”, work synergistically with nutritionists and personal trainers.
