New Digital Resources for SFU Library
We are excited to announce three significant additions to our library resources, in order to better support our users in their studies, research and teaching.
- Wiley Online Library is a comprehensive database that provides access to a vast collection of academic resources across multiple disciplines, including medicine, psychology, and the social and behavioural sciences. With articles from more than 1,800 journals, Wiley represents an important expansion of our digital offerings for both students and researchers. The agreement also includes open access publishing, enabling corresponding authors affiliated with SFU to publish Open Access in Wiley’s gold and hybrid journals at no additional charge. For more details please see the publisher’s website.
- In addition, we will expand the already licensed EBSCO database with another journal package, which will provide full-text access to many more journals across all fields. Access to both new resources will be made available in the coming weeks.
- To further improve access to our digital holdings, we are in the process of implementing the EBSCO Discovery Service. This new search engine will allow users to explore all licensed digital content across our databases through one single, central interface. It offers a clear overview of our licensed materials and enables more thorough research, with features such as advanced search filters, automatic citation tools, and personalised search folders. The discovery service will also include open access journals and e-books from various publishers. The new platform is expected to go live in February 2026.
We remain committed to continuously improving our library resources and will keep you informed about all developments coming in 2026.
