Resume
Prof. Astrid Chiari has headed the Department of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy at the Hospital
of the Brothers of Mercy Vienna since 2012.
After studying medicine in Vienna, she completed her residency at the Vienna University Clinic for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, followed by a research stay at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina, USA, where she was awarded the Resident Research Award of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Prof. Chiari headed the Clinical Department of General Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the Vienna Clinic from 2007-2010, and since 2012 she has been a "generally sworn and judicially certified expert".
