Charlie Kaufhold is currently doing his doctorate at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen and the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin with a deep hermeneutic study on psychosocial dynamics in the dominant society, which are related to the 'National Socialist Underground' (NSU). Charlie Kaufhold studied Gender Studies (M.A. at Humboldt University Berlin) and Regional Studies Asia/Africa with a minor in Gender Studies (B.A. at Humboldt University Berlin). The main research areas are psychoanalytic social psychology with a focus on right-wing extremism, racism and anti-Semitism research and the consequences of National Socialism on a psychosocial level; qualitative social research with a focus on deep hermeneutics; Gender studies with a focus on (modern) antifeminism and the critique of political economy.
At the SFU Berlin, Charlie Kaufhold currently teaches qualitative methods in the bachelor's degree in psychology and, together with the students, examines in depth hermeneutics which psychosocial dynamics are associated with climate change.
