He is a social worker by education, having completed his doctoral studies with a dissertation entitled Factors of Change in Support and Assistance Processes in Social Work. His research has also focused on the planned and reflective use of silence in support and assistance processes. He is a regular member of the EZPPS professional association, where he is involved in the work of the Honorary Court.
