Milen Minkov is a Full Professor of Pediatrics, Head of the Center of Child Health, Growth, and Development at the Faculty of Medicine of the Sigmund Freud University, and Chair of the International LCH Study Center at the CCRI, St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung in Vienna, Austria. Since 1991, Dr. Minkov has been a professional, providing clinical care, supervising trainees, and conducting clinical research. His research has been focused on LCH and other histiocytoses. His scientific treatise encompasses over 150 peer-reviewed papers and 15 book chapters. He was president of the Histiocyte Society from 2016 to 2019 and is currently president of the European Consortium for Histiocytosis (ECHO). For his contributions to the field of histiocytic disorders, he was awarded the Histiocyte Society Golden Pin Award 2024. He is a member of several professional societies and networks and serves as a medical advisor to patient and parent organizations.
