Prof. Michael Rolf Müller is an associate professor at the University of Vienna and full professor of thoracic surgery at Sigmund Freud University Vienna. Since 2007, he has headed the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Otto Wagner Hospital and Floridsdorf Clinic in Vienna. His international career includes the roles of councillor, treasurer and president of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS). He is a member of several international professional associations, such as the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. His career as an academic surgeon is complemented by training in traditional Chinese medicine.
