The EU’s programme for education, training, youth and sport provides a wide range of opportunities for gaining experience abroad and cooperating on an international level in the field of education, training, youth and sport.

What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, and gain experience abroad. Set to last until 2027, Erasmus+ doesn’t just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programmes, it has opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organisations.

Aims
Erasmus+ aims to support the objectives of the European education agendas to modernize, internationalize and improve the quality of higher education in Europe, to strengthen students’ international competences, personal development and employability, to increase the attractiveness of the EU as a place to study and research and to contribute to the sustainable development of higher education in third countries. Finally, the program should also help to build more bridges across educational sectors and intensify cooperation between the various educational sectors.

Erasmus+ Charta (ECHE) 2021-27
Sigmund Freud Privat University holds the Erasmus + Charter and is thus part of the European Higher Education Area, offering its students mobility in the Erasmus + programme countries.
