  • Owner: Sigmund Freud Privatuniversität GmbH (shareholder: SFU Forschungs und Verwaltung GmbH)
  • The bodies of the SFU are the University Council, the Rectorate and the Senate.
  • SFU’s academic organizational units are faculties, departments, institutes and centers.
  • Faculties are organizational units of the SFU with research and teaching tasks to which departments, institutes and centers are subordinate.
  • Departments and institutes are sub-units of the faculties which, in addition to research and teaching, perform special tasks for the university or primarily serve either teaching or research.

SFU currently consists of four faculties:

1) Faculty of Psychotherapy Science
2) Faculty of Psychology
3) Faculty of Medicine
4) Faculty of Law
