Online Expert Meeting on: Femicide and Psychological Violence, Especially Against Mothers, in Austria: Current Protection Measures and Recommendations for Further Action

… organized by the Coalition of Faith-based Organizations in cooperation with SFU (Karin Bruckmüller und Kristina Altrichter | Law Faculty).

The objective of the meeting, which will be held mainly in German, is to discuss:

• The increase in the number of cases of femicide and violence against women and recommendations for combatting femicide and violence;
• The consideration of violence, especially psychological violence against mothers, and the best interest of the child in Austrian law and in custody and contact rights´ lawsuits;
• The importance of (a) better protecting women against femicide and violence, especially psychological violence; and (b) collecting, analysing and reviewing data of cases of femicide and psychological violence.
