Prof. Dr. med. habil. Siamak Ansari Shahrezaei is Head of the Eye Day Clinic specializing in macular diseases at WIGEV Klinik Landstraße, Vienna. He received his doctorate from the Medical University of Vienna in 1998 and completed his training as a specialist in ophthalmology and optometry at the University Eye Clinic at Vienna General Hospital. Dr. Ansari Shahrezaei obtained the Venia docendi in 2007 and founded the eye day clinic with a focus on macular diseases at Klinik Landstraße, formerly KA Rudolfstiftung, Vienna in 2008. He is a member of several specialist societies and is the founder and director of the Karl Landsteiner Institute for Retinal Research and Imaging at WIGEV.
