Gerd Benesch, MD, is a specialist in neurology and psychiatry. Since 1998 he has been in private practice as a neurologist and sees about 1000 patients per quarter. He is co-founder of the European Society for Classical Naturopathic Medicine (EXCNM) and co-founder of a Berlin Dementia Quality Circle. He is a delegate of the Assembly of Representatives in the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Berlin and Chairman of the Professional Association of German Neurologists (BVDN) / Berlin Regional Association. He is a medical expert for the Federal Insurance Institution for Salaried Employees, the State Insurance Institution, the Pension Fund, the Social Courts and the Motor Vehicle Assessment Office Berlin and a consultant for several senior citizens’ homes and day care centers. Since 2019, he has been teaching in the master’s program in psychology as an expert in dementia.
