Dr. Michael Felfernig received his doctorate in Vienna in 1996 and completed his specialist training at the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the AKH until 2002. He left the hospital in
2004, followed by engagements in the United Arab Emirates and Great Britain.
This was followed by an appointment as Lead Clinician at the Royal Naval Hospital Gibraltar. This was followed by 18 months as a VIP doctor in Abu Dhabi. From 2009, he worked for 8 years as Medical Director at International SOS in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. In 2017, an intermezzo followed at the Professional Rescue Service
in Vienna. He is now working in ABU Dhabi for RPM as Medical Director in the Remote Site Medical Area.
