Mrs. Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Manuela Födinger is head of the Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics at the Kaiser-Franz-Josef Hospital/Social Medical Center South in Vienna and Vice-Dean at the Sigmund Freud Private University. Immediately after her medical studies she obtained an international diploma in tropical medicine and started her research work at the Vienna Institute for Tropical Medicine and Specific Prophylaxis. Her scientific interests were and still are in the field of molecular biology with eight international awards to date. In addition to a university course for medical managers, she completed the "Professional MBA in Health Care Management" course at the WU Executive Academy. Currently, she is, among other things, a member of the Supreme Medical Council at the Federal Ministry of Health and Women.
