Herbert Jürgen Grunau, born 28.01.1952 in Erfurt
1977 Master’s Degree as Teacher
1982 PhD and 1989 D.Sc./ Habilitation in Media Sociology and Pedagogy
Served as Research Associate and Institute Director at Pädagogische Hochschule Leipzig
through 1991. Continued as Project Manager for EU projects related to telematics, e-learning, media in adult continuing education (i.e. “Senioren @ns Netz”) as well as in software development at Lintec Information Technologies AG and the Institute for Industrial Software Technologies at Leipzig University.
Lecturer since 2007, Professor appointment from 2013-19 at Internationale Berufsakademie
(IBA) through Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts. Since
2019 Professor Emeritus and Lecturer for Media Sciences and Pedagogy.
