Resume
Thomas Mück studied social sciences and economics at the University of Vienna, where he worked full-time until 2001, most recently as an associate university professor and head of the Institute for Computer Science and Information Systems. In addition to his scientific work and the resulting habilitation in computer science, he was also active as an independent IT consultant. After working for one year (2002) in the organization of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, he moved to the Social Insurance Institution for Trade and Industry. In 2014, he was appointed Deputy General Director at the General Accident Insurance Institution (AUVA), where he is responsible for the strategic development of medical IT in accident hospitals and rehabilitation centers, among other things. In September 2021, he accepted an appointment at Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität. He holds the Chair for Digitization in Medicine and E-Health.
