Dr. Erzsébet Fanni Tóth, M.A. is the director of the Institute for Transgenerational Trauma Transfer Research, coordinator of the English-language doctoral program in psychotherapy science, and lecturer in research methods and university didactics in the International Program of Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna. She studied psychology and cultural anthropology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, sociology and sociocultural anthropology at Central European University, and received her PhD in psychotherapy science from Sigmund Freud University.

She is an expert in the interdisciplinary application of qualitative research methods with a focus on migration, trauma, identity and gender. She is active in the field of cultural and minority studies in the context of international research projects: She conducts research on the memory of the Jewish and Hungarian minorities in Central Europe, on the identity changes of Japanese lifestyle migrants.
Teaching focus: Qualitative research methods, university didactics, scientific research projects, culture and psychotherapy.
