Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Gökhan Uyanik is a specialist in medical genetics (human genetics) and a specialist in neurology. After studying medicine at the universities of Freiburg and Vienna, he completed his specialist training at the university hospitals of Freiburg, Regensburg and Hamburg. In 2012, he was commissioned to set up the Medical Genetics Department at Hanusch Hospital and has since been Head of the Centre for Medical Genetics at Hanusch Hospital. In 2016, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Uyanik was appointed to the Chair of Medical Genetics at the SFU Faculty of Medicine and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Austrian Society for
