has been working as a lawyer in Vienna since 1985 as a partner in the law firm Breitenecker, Kolbitsch, Vana. As an academic expert in European law and a trained mediator (MAS Mediation and Conflict Management in Business, Administration), the focus of his work is on assisting municipalities and citizens' initiatives in administrative proceedings relevant to the environment. On behalf of infrastructure operators, he supports conflict management in projects such as the 3rd runway at Vienna Airport, high-performance routes and motorways. Another focus is the engagement in the area of fundamental rights in close cooperation with a European Lawyers' Initiative (EILN), which he co-founded.
