It is with great sadness that we hereby inform you on the unexpected passing of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Langer due to an accident.
Martin Langer was a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, a subject involving the beginning of life. Patients greatly appreciated his high level of care and competence and, above all, his empathy. He was also a psychotherapist and thus knew very well how to support his patients.
He was a versatile person – multilingual, well-read, an active violin player and very sporty. Martin Langer dealt professionally with many topics that were important for the public and was therefore appointed as an expert in advisory boards of the Austrian Ministry and the City of Vienna.
We appreciated Martin Langer as an extremely helpful and competent colleague who was very popular among students. He will be greatly missed and we will remember him warmly.
