The “10th World Congress of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies” took place in Seoul, South Korea in June 2023. SFU was represented by Manfred Reisinger (Faculty of Psychotherapy Science, Institute for Qualitative Psychotherapy Research) and Jan Aden, Anastasiya Bunina and David Seistock (Faculty of Psychology, Institute for Statistics).

At the congress, the colleagues presented the first results of their joint interfaculty research project. This project deals with the significance of attachment patterns of psychotherapists / psychologists and their patients for the quality of the therapeutic alliance and effectiveness of the treatments. In addition, aspects of emotion regulation that are related to attachment patterns are also researched. The project is carried out at the Outpatient Clinics of Sigmund Freud University Vienna.
